About Me

Daniel Taylor is a Kendal born artistic, architectural metalworker. He has lived just outside the Lake District National Park boundary his entire life. Raised on the family farm, he has strong ties to nature, and with beautiful views of The Howgills and The Langdales from his workshop in the rural outskirts of Kendal, a love of the surrounding Lakes, mountains and Dales.

Founded in 2010, The Iron Tree was at first a small outlet for Dan’s artistic creative side, with him being a car mechanic at the time not affording this. It soon grew into a fledgling small business that strived for a high standard of bespoke design, finish and customer satisfaction. With the recent build of a much bigger, purpose-built workshop on the family farm, the business continues to grow.

Heavily influenced by the natural surroundings, and by a family background in farming and engineering, Dan’s styles are both organic and industrial in nature, a harmonious blend of flowing lines and geometric shapes.
